Ride comfort investigation of semi-active seat suspension integrated with quarter car model

A method for parameter identification of the magnetorheological damper (MRD) model with an improved firefly algorithm (IFA) is proposed, and a semi-active seat control system three-degree-of-freedom (3-DOF) established by combining quarter car to investigate ride comfort. The dynamic characteristics MRD were analyzed experimental method. Combined IFA, parameters phenomenon identified, forward MR was constructed. 3-DOF suspension established. controller designed. passive control, PID Fuzzy-PID on vibration reduction compared analyzed, under different road excitation. simulation results show that controlled can effectively reduce acceleration stroke, which significantly improve comfort operation safety suspension.
